Full refurbishment & upgrade of uninhabitable stone faced cottages.
The external walls of No2 were fully refaced in local carrstone due to extensive frost damage. The stonework to No 3 was repaired & repointed. Failing roof structures were entirety replaced including the addition of new dormer windows, with lead cheeks & all were re-roofed in Norfolk Red Pantiles.
In addition both properties received a two storey stone faced extension, which helped to create one 3 double bedroom & one four double bedroom property, all bedrooms with ensuites. All external windows & doors were replaced in a traditional style & double glazed to current Building Regulations. Staircases were replaced with purpose made joinery & matching bead & butt internal doors were also provided with traditional black ironmongery, Suffolk latches etc.
All roof, & wall insulation was upgraded to meet or exceed current Building Regulations & internally existing inglenook fireplaces were opened up & new fireplaces created. The buildings were fully replastered, new kitchens, bathrooms, full heating with Air Source Heat Pump, new electrical installations, flooring & ceramic tiling were also provided.
Externally natural stone paved patios & terraces were created, including construction of oak sleeper retaining structures.
